➡️🥰Now a bit something about me:
I live with my husband in Selbitz, a small town in the beautiful Franconian Forest. I have two adult children. We love social gatherings with friends and acquaintances, like to cook and in addition to the hobby of wire jewelry, my husband and I are big garden fans. There are always new projects in the garden and at the house. We have a big pond with kois and love our 2 cats – there is always something going on with us.

After 30 years of office at a daily newspaper publisher, I gave up the office.... And there it hangs now the office – but without me ((: I have turned my hobby into a profession and give my passion and energy to our Drahtoria. Why not start again at the age of 50? A wise man said to me, "Do what you enjoy and you never have to work again." This is what it looks like!! Said and done. My decision was the right one – I should have done it much sooner. Since my youth, I have always been involved in creativity and craftsmanship – new things have always been tried. In 2017 I discovered my enthusiasm to design things with wire – the "wire addiction" took its course. It started harmlessly. I had discovered wooden angels with wire wings on the Internet and rebuilt them in different versions, these were talked off me by friends – faster away than they were built.... After Christmas I tried to wire a ring with the remaining aluminum wire. One then became many... I also used grandma's buttons and various beads from the sewing box – I didn't even think so badly. The response among friends, acquaintances and soon among previously unknown people was so great that the idea with the "Drahtoria" was spontaneously born.

Kleiner Auszug aus der Chemiestunde:
Eloxieren ist die Bezeichnung für eine Behandlungsmethode von Aluminium wobei durch einen elektrochemischen Prozess eine Oxidschicht auf dem Material entsteht. Diese Schicht ist quasi eine Schutzschicht auf dem Aluminium. Die Oxidschicht ist vollständig in das Material integriert und bildet eine molekulare, starke Verbindung mit dem Metall. "Agänst wot löörnd .-))"
● ordentlich geschnittene Drähte, die im Bereich mit Hautkontakt auch gefeilt werden
●ich achte darauf, dass der Draht des Schmuckstückes nicht mit der Zange "verletzt" wird, so dass unschöne Macken zu sehen sind.

●Meine handgefädelten Perlenketten haben immer einen Edelstahl-Verschluss und Ohrhaken/- Stecker sind ebenso aus Edelstahl, weil dieses Material für Allergiker sehr gut verträglich ist, außerdem ist es robust und läuft nicht an.

➡️🥰Nun a bißl was über mich:
Ich wohne mit meinem Mann in Selbitz, einer kleinen Stadt im schönen Frankenwald. Ich habe zwei erwachsene Kinder. Wir lieben gesellige Runden mit Freunden und Bekannten, kochen gerne und neben dem Hobby Drahtschmuck sind mein Mann und ich große Gartenfans. Es gibt immer wieder neue Projekte im Garten und am Haus. Wir haben einen großen Teich mit Kois und lieben unsere 2 zugelaufenen Streuner-Miezekatzen – es ist immer was los bei uns.

Nach 30 Jahren Büro bei einem Tageszeitungsverlag habe ich das Büro an den Nagel gehängt…. Und da hängt es nun das Büro – aber ohne mich ((: Ich habe mein Hobby zum Beruf gemacht und schenke meine Leidenschaft und Energie unserer Drahtoria. Warum nicht noch mal mit 50 Jahren neu durchstarten?? Ein weiser Mann sagte zu mir: „Mach das was Dir Spaß macht und Du musst nie mehr arbeiten.“ So sieht es aus!! Gesagt getan. Richtig war meine Entscheidung – hätte ich schon viel eher tun sollen. Kreativ und handwerklich habe ich mich schon seit meiner Jugend immer beschäftigt – immer neues wurde ausprobiert. Im Jahr 2017 entdeckte ich meine Begeisterung mit Draht Dinge zu gestalten – die „Drahtsucht“ nahm ihren Lauf. Es fing harmlos an. Ich hatte im Internet Holzengel mit Drahtflügeln entdeckt und baute diese in verschiedenen Ausführungen nach, diese wurden mir von Freunden abgeschwatzt – schneller weg als sie gebaut waren…. Nach Weihnachten probierte ich mit dem übrigen Aludraht einfach mal einen Ring zu drahten. Aus einem wurden dann viele… Ich verwendete dazu noch Omas Knöpfe und diverse Perlen aus dem Nähkästchen – nicht mal so übel dachte ich mir. Die Resonanz unter Freunden, Bekannten und bald unter uns bisher unbekannten Leuten war so groß, dass spontan die Idee mit der „Drahtoria“ geboren war.
